Health Score

Combining results from individual health calculators gives you a unified snapshot of your physical and mental well-being. By mapping your latest assessments across six wellness pillars, this dashboard highlights immediate red flags and clear priorities for your routine. The Health Score is part of Health Analytics, the paid package built on the results you save: it updates automatically whenever you save a new calculation, and the calculators themselves stay free.

In short

The Fitulse Health Score converts your saved calculator results into standard numbers (10 to 90) across six categories: Body Composition, Nutrition, Activity, Recovery, Mental Health, and Weight Management. Your overall score is the average of your assessed categories, plotted on a six-axis radar chart to reveal imbalance.

WHO THIS IS FOR
  • You want a single dashboard that summarizes your body composition, sleep, and stress levels without manual spreadsheets.
  • You are adjusting your training or diet and need to check if your recovery and mental health scores are dropping.
  • You completed three calculators and want to identify which unassessed areas are limiting your overall profile.
  • You are reviewing your habits every month to measure progress across multiple health metrics.

How it works

The Health Score evaluates up to six distinct groups: Body Composition, Nutrition, Activity, Recovery, Mental Health, and Weight Management. Each calculator in a group returns a status value based on your latest saved entry: good = 90, attention = 65, moderate = 50, warning = 30, and critical = 10.

Scoring Formula

  1. Group Score = sum of status values for saved calculators in the group / number of saved calculators in the group
  2. Overall Health Score = round( sum of Group Scores for assessed groups / number of assessed groups )

Groups without saved calculations are excluded from the average calculation and flagged as 'not assessed' on your radar chart.

Design Intent

Single metrics like BMI or nightly sleep duration fail to show how habits interact. Averaging category scores prevents one completed section from distorting your profile while showing where missing data leaves blind spots.

Limits

This Health Score provides a high-level summary using mathematical averages of self-reported calculator estimates. It is not a clinical medical assessment or diagnostic measurement. Highly trained athletes with elevated BMI readings due to dense muscle mass may see lower body composition status scores than appropriate unless they complete dedicated body fat calculators. Similarly, subjective self-assessments for stress or burnout rely on accurate self-reporting. Use this tool alongside annual blood panels, blood pressure monitoring, and direct guidance from a qualified physician.

Getting a reliable score

Complete at least one calculator per group
Save a calculation in all six categories within 7 days to get a complete radar chart without unassessed gaps.
Update metrics every 14 to 30 days
Re-run body composition, calorie, and stress calculators monthly to keep your overall score reflecting active habits.
Target critical and warning flags first
If a calculator returns a score of 10 or 30, address that specific category before trying to adjust a score sitting at 65.
Log consistent inputs across tools
Use the same daily activity level and body weight entries across nutrition and body fat calculators to keep results aligned.

Thriving

Range: 80 - 100
WHAT IT MEANS

Your assessed pillars score consistently high with no critical or warning alerts.

WHAT TO DO

Maintain your current routine with two weekly strength workouts, 8,000 daily steps, and regular sleep, re-assessing in 30 days.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting the score to update without logging into an account. Save your calculations while signed in so the system can record your latest outputs.
  • Ignoring unassessed categories on your dashboard. Complete at least one calculator in missing groups to stop single categories from skewing your view.
  • Re-calculating daily and reacting to short-term noise. Update your metrics every 2 to 4 weeks to track actual biological changes.
  • Focusing only on body composition while recovery or mental health scores sit at critical. Resolve recovery deficits before pushing harder in the gym.
  • Treating the Health Score as a clinical medical diagnosis. Use the radar chart as a habit-tracking summary and speak with a healthcare provider for medical evaluation.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Health Score show unassessed categories?

Unassessed categories appear when you have not saved a result for any calculator in that group. Save at least one assessment in that section to add its axis to your overall calculation.

How fast will my Health Score change after I improve my habits?

Your score updates immediately whenever you re-run and save a new calculator result. Aim to re-assess every 2 to 4 weeks to give physical changes time to show in your data.

Why did my score drop after saving a new calculator result?

Adding a calculator that yields a warning (30) or critical (10) status lowers that pillar's average score. This uncovers hidden weak spots that were previously excluded from your radar chart.

Is a Health Score of 75 considered good?

A score of 75 sits in the moderate band, indicating solid health markers overall with room to improve specific areas. Check your radar chart to see which category is dragging down your average.

Can I use the Health Score without creating a user account?

You can use all calculators freely without an account, but saving results needs a free account, and the Health Score itself is part of the Health Analytics package. Your saved results are kept, so the score is ready as soon as you add Analytics.

What should I do if my Recovery or Mental Health score is critical?

Prioritize rest and stress reduction before taking on new physical challenges. If low scores coincide with ongoing physical or emotional distress, schedule an appointment with a healthcare professional.

Does the score weight recent calculations heavier than older ones?

The system uses the single latest saved result for each calculator regardless of age. Re-run your tests monthly to ensure your dashboard reflects your current daily habits.
